Privacy policy
Last updated: June 19, 2026
This is a starting MVP draft. Before launch, have counsel review for state and federal privacy law (Nevada SB 220, CCPA/CPRA where applicable, GLBA, etc.).
What we collect
We collect everything you submit to or through the service, and we may collect information automatically as you use it. This includes, without limitation:
- Account information: your email address, sign-up timestamps, sign-in events, and any other identifiers you provide.
- Wizard inputs: every answer, draft, and free-form note you enter — including identifying information about you, the property, the seller, the transaction, and any third parties you mention.
- Communications and conversations: messages you exchange with the in-product AI explainer, support correspondence, and any feedback you submit.
- Payment metadata: order history, amounts, SKUs, and Stripe identifiers. We do not store full payment-card numbers; Stripe handles those.
- Device, network, and usage data: IP address, user-agent, referrer, page views, click and form-interaction events, session timing, error reports, and standard server logs.
- Property and parcel data we look up on your behalf from public county records when you enter or select an address.
- Any other data you choose to submit to the service.
How we use it; what we own
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the data described above belongs to Draft a Deal. By using the service, you grant Draft a Deal a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to collect, store, retain, copy, process, analyze, anonymize, de-identify, aggregate, combine with other data, create derivative works from, share with third parties, use to train, fine-tune, or evaluate machine-learning and artificial-intelligence models, use to develop, market, and improve current and future products and services, and otherwise commercially exploit the data, in each case for any lawful purpose. This permission is not limited to the purposes for which you originally provided the data.
Service providers and third parties
We share data with service providers, contractors, business partners, successors-in-interest, and other third parties as we see fit to operate and improve the service. Categories of recipients include, but are not limited to:
- Payment processors (for example, Stripe).
- Email and transactional-messaging providers (for example, Resend).
- Third-party AI service providers, which may include but are not limited to Anthropic, Google, OpenAI, and others, used to process inputs from the wizard and the in-product explainer for purposes such as generating plain-English explanations of legal-form provisions, summarization, classification, and product improvement.
- Hosting, database, storage, logging, monitoring, analytics, and customer-support providers.
- Public records providers, including county assessor and GIS services that we query on your behalf.
- Affiliated brokerages and licensed professionals in connection with the Represented path you may select.
- Advisors, auditors, insurers, and legal counsel.
- Acquirers or other parties in connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction.
- Government, regulatory, or law-enforcement bodies, where we believe disclosure is required by law, appropriate to protect rights, property, or safety, or otherwise consistent with applicable law.
The data-handling practices of third-party AI service providers, including whether they may use submitted inputs to train or improve their own models, are governed by those providers' own terms and may change from time to time. We may switch among providers at any time without notice.
Retention
We retain data for as long as we determine to be appropriate, which may be indefinitely, subject only to applicable law. Even after an account is closed, we may retain copies (including in backups, archives, log systems, training corpora, and aggregated or de-identified datasets) for any lawful purpose.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights with respect to your personal information — for example, to request access, correction, deletion, or to opt out of certain processing. Where applicable law grants you those rights, we will honor them as required by that law. Contact us to make a request. Nothing in this policy waives or limits any right you have under applicable law that cannot lawfully be waived or limited.
Changes
We may update this policy at any time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
